MURMANSK, October 13 – A remarkable discovery has been made in Russia`s Arkhangelsk region: a colossal diamond weighing 340 carats has been unearthed. The region`s governor, Alexander Tsybulsky, shared this significant news via his Telegram channel.
“An unprecedented find at the V. Grib deposit. This marks a new record for the entire history of industrial development at the site, which is operated by AGD Diamonds,” Governor Tsybulsky stated.
Tsybulsky emphasized the exceptional nature of the stone, highlighting its impressive size and superior quality, which will command a very high market price. Such rare crystals account for less than two percent of all natural diamonds found globally.
He further noted that this diamond is among the five largest ever discovered within modern Russia, marking a significant event for the country`s gemstone industry.
