In the first half of 2025, the average offered salaries for nail technicians in Russia saw a substantial increase of 50% compared to the same period last year, reaching 130,000 rubles per month. This surge makes it a standout profession within the beauty sector. Overall, salary offers to employees across the beauty industry rose by 15%, averaging 72,000 rubles, according to a study by `Avito Rabota` that was made available to RIA Novosti.

Analysts from the study highlighted that “by the end of the first half of 2025, the average proposed salaries for beauty industry professionals had increased by 15%,” specifying the average monthly offer for these specialists at 72,390 rubles.

The report further detailed that the profession of nail technician was the leader in average salary growth during this period. “Average offered salaries for candidates in this role increased by 50% and reached 130,301 rubles per month,” the study authors added.

Significant increases were also observed in average salary offers for barbers, rising by over a quarter in the past six months to 133,300 rubles per month. Following them were cosmetologists-estheticians, who saw their average offers increase by 22% to 84,700 rubles monthly. For makeup artists, monthly salaries grew by 21% to 81,900 rubles, and masseurs experienced a 19% increase, reaching 70,400 rubles per month.

Additionally, the service`s analysts reported a more than twofold surge in demand for fitness trainers in the first half of 2025, with their average salary offers standing at 65,200 rubles per month. Demand for makeup artists and barbers also increased by 17% and 5%, respectively.

“The beauty industry is showcasing stable salary growth, indicating profound structural shifts in the market. This trend is driven by several interconnected factors: increased consumer spending on beauty and care services, a shortage of qualified personnel, and the active expansion of beauty salon chains,” commented Roman Gubanov, Development Director at Avito Rabota.
