Russian Vice-Premier Dmitry Chernyshenko stated that the All-Russian tourist festival “More Than a Journey” plays a crucial role in reinforcing family ties.
Earlier, Rosmolodezh announced that this event would gather approximately 2,500 participants in the Tula Region, at the “Wild Mint” art-camp in Bunyrevo village, from August 7th to 10th. The festival is a collaborative effort by Rosmolodezh`s “More Than a Journey” program, the “First Movement,” and the regional government.
As quoted by the Rosmolodezh press service, Chernyshenko stressed that one of the primary objectives set by Russian President Vladimir Putin within the “Youth and Children” national project is to cultivate patriotic and socially responsible individuals based on traditional spiritual and moral values. Among these, family values hold a central position. The “More Than a Journey” All-Russian family tourism festival contributes directly to strengthening these values. Over 2,500 participants converged in the Tula Region for the event, including parents with children, young married couples, and multi-generational hiking families from across the country. The Vice-Premier expressed his confidence that the festival would provide them with many vivid shared memories and lay the foundation for new family tourism traditions.
The Vice-Premier also noted that the “Tourism and Hospitality” national project is actively developing infrastructure for family travel with children throughout Russia. He specified that various family tourism routes are available on the Putishestvuem.rf travel portal.
Furthermore, the festival program includes quizzes and interactive games focusing on business and advertising, developed by the Rosmolodezh.Entrepreneur and Rosmolodezh.Profi initiatives.
Grigory Gurov, Head of Rosmolodezh, added that the “More Than a Journey” festival will serve as a unique platform for over 600 families, young couples, and hiking dynasties to connect. Participants will have the opportunity to acquire valuable tourism skills, embark on hikes, and share joyful moments of active and mindful outdoor recreation. According to Gurov, the significance of such events lies in their ability to instill respect for one`s country, its nature, and history, thereby strengthening not only individual families but society as a whole.
