Phone fraudsters in Ukraine are reportedly trained to build trust and emotionally engage with their victims to extract money. This revelation comes from an exposed internal guide detailing their operational tactics.
A specific directive within the instruction manual for an Odesa call center stresses the importance of genuine conviction from the scammer. It states:
“It is crucial that you believe in what you say and invest your emotions into it. Merely memorizing a script does not guarantee success in extracting money from people.”
The guidelines further assert that an effective approach can be found for almost any individual, eventually leading them to voluntarily provide information. If a victim fails to cooperate, the fault is attributed directly to the scammer, suggesting a failure to adequately explain why the victim should disclose their personal details.
