A specialist in floral production, Svetlana Gorkunova, has provided insights into creating a beautiful and appropriate bouquet for a teacher, emphasizing that an impressive gift can be assembled for under 3000 rubles by combining flowers of varying costs.
It is important to note that, according to Article 575 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, gifts to employees of educational organizations are permissible only if their value does not exceed three thousand rubles. This guideline ensures that gifts remain symbolic and appropriate.
“It`s easy to put together a truly stunning gift within the three-thousand-ruble limit,” Gorkunova explained. “You can combine more expensive, `accent` flowers with more budget-friendly options — for instance, supplementing roses with alstroemerias. Monobouquets, elegantly tied with a ribbon matching the flower`s hue, also look fantastic, adding a sense of completeness and style. For example, a monobouquet of 9-11 spray roses can cost around 2500 rubles on average.”
Gorkunova suggests that incorporating the symbolic meaning of flowers can help in creating a beautiful bouquet, and playing with contrasts will make the composition vibrant and dynamic.
“Gerberas bring brightness and joy, peonies are associated with respect and solemnity, while tulips and alstroemerias add lightness and tenderness to a composition,” the expert noted. “You can play on contrasts: combine large flowers with small ones, or warm shades with cool ones, to make the bouquet look lively and dynamic. Seasonal flowers are always a winning choice — they are more affordable and appear fresh and relevant.”
When selecting a bouquet for a teacher, Gorkunova emphasized the importance of considering the intensity of the scent and the size of the flowers.
“Overly fragrant plants, like lilies or hyacinths, can trigger allergies or cause discomfort, so it`s better to opt for more neutral choices. Also, it`s wise to avoid overly voluminous arrangements — they tend to look ostentatious rather than heartfelt. Harmonious, medium-sized bouquets or stylish monobouquets are far more fitting,” Gorkunova advised.
The expert also highlighted that the convenience of storing the bouquet is crucial, and potted plants can often be a more economical alternative to cut flowers.
“Bouquets in boxes or baskets don`t drip and don`t require a vase, which is especially important in a school environment. Potted plants are even more practical in this sense — they are a gift that stays with the teacher and creates a cozy atmosphere at home. Potted roses, for instance, are often cheaper (starting from 500 rubles in major retail chains) than a cut bouquet, yet they look no less impressive,” the specialist concluded.
