A medium-pressure gas pipeline, spanning 173 meters, has been successfully constructed on Zarechnaya Street in Moscow, according to an announcement published on the official website of the capital`s Mayor and government.

“A new 173-meter medium-pressure gas pipeline has appeared on Zarechnaya Street. Specialists from the capital’s municipal complex completed the construction as part of the program aimed at developing Moscow`s gas distribution infrastructure,” the statement confirmed.

The report further details that the specialists employed the advanced microtunneling method during the construction process. This technology is vital for urban environments, as it allows for the laying of pipelines beneath existing roads, buildings, and utility networks without requiring significant excavation or disruption to the city landscape.

The city government specified that the newly installed gas pipeline is designed to have a service life exceeding 40 years, significantly enhancing the reliability of the local energy supply network.
