Meteorologist Mikhail Leus details shifting conditions for residents

Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the `Phobos` weather center, has announced that Moscow is set for a sunny and warm Saturday, though Sunday will bring thunderstorms.

Speaking on his Telegram channel, Leus noted that summer conditions are persisting. He highlighted that the recent cool spell and heavy rains, which saw Monday`s daytime high in Moscow dip below 20 degrees Celsius, have now ended, with temperatures already nearing 25 degrees today.

The meteorologist`s forecast indicates that temperatures will continue to climb in the coming days, while rainfall will diminish. Thursday is expected to see temperatures between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius in the capital. By Friday, with the rain completely ceasing, thermometers are predicted to approach the 30-degree mark.

Moscow will enjoy continued sunshine and warmth on Saturday, with temperatures remaining around 26-28 degrees Celsius. However, on Sunday, a new frontal system is expected to bring thunderstorms back to the city, causing a slight dip in temperature, Leus added.

He also specified that scattered showers might occur early next week, with the overall temperature remaining 2-3 degrees above the typical climate average.
