SIMFEROPOL, August 4. A substantial queue of nearly two thousand vehicles has formed at the entrance to the Crimea Bridge. The majority of this backlog is observed on the Taman side, according to the operational Telegram channel monitoring the transport crossing.
As of 11:00 AM Moscow time, the reported statistics indicate 1,793 vehicles awaiting manual inspection from the Taman direction, with an estimated wait time of approximately four hours. An additional 153 vehicles are in line for inspection from the Kerch side, bringing the total number of queued vehicles to 1,946.
Significant traffic congestion, primarily during daylight hours, has been a recurring issue at the Crimea Bridge since the onset of the summer tourist season. In response, authorities decided to increase the number of inspection posts before the bridge to ensure safe and efficient passage. Currently, only passenger cars, minibuses, and buses are permitted to cross the Crimea Bridge. Freight transport is directed to Crimea via routes through the new regions or by ferries across the Kerch Strait.
