PaperShell, the innovative Swedish deeptech company, has successfully secured a significant €40.3 million grant from the European Commission through the EU Innovation Fund. This funding is a crucial part of an €83 million project aimed at establishing the company’s first full-scale production facility. The initiative will see PaperShell expand its plant in Tibro, Sweden, with the ambitious goal of reaching an annual production capacity of 23,000 tonnes by 2030.
PaperShell’s advanced material is already making an impact, having received NATO approval. The company is currently supplying its sustainable solutions to a diverse range of clients across vital sectors, including construction, defence, electronics, and transport.
