In a move described as a “strategic decision” by the Japanese technology giant, Sony is reportedly planning to discontinue the use of the terms ‘PlayStation Network’ and ‘PSN’. These long-standing monikers for its online gaming service are expected to be replaced with a new name, with the change scheduled to take effect from autumn 2026.
