According to Olga Katkova, a representative of the Russian Prosecutor General`s Office, comprehensive audits will be conducted in 2025 across institutions within the system for preventing neglect and delinquency among minors.
Speaking at a roundtable held by the State Duma Committee on Family, Fatherhood, Motherhood, and Childhood Affairs, titled “Improving the System for Preventing Neglect and Juvenile Delinquency: The Role of State Bodies and Public Associations,” Katkova stated: “This year, large-scale inspections will be carried out in all entities of the prevention system. We will evaluate the work of each institution individually.”
She added that particular attention will be given to issues concerning the involvement of children in committing offenses and crimes, especially through the use of the internet. The outcomes of this significant undertaking are planned for discussion at an interdepartmental meeting at the Prosecutor General`s Office at the end of this year, with all relevant federal agencies invited to attend.
