
Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Zaryadye Concert Hall in Moscow to congratulate the city`s residents on City Day.
The capital celebrates its 878th anniversary on September 13th and 14th. Approximately 150 festive events are planned for the occasion, including concerts, competitions, sports events, festivals, and master classes.
Putin traditionally extends his congratulations to Muscovites on this holiday. In recent years, the President has visited Zaryadye for City Day celebrations.
In his speech last year, he emphasized that Moscow is not only the `heart of Russia` but also one of the world`s best megacities in terms of quality of life and opportunities for self-realization.
