A list of directives from Russian President Vladimir Putin has been published on the official Kremlin website. These instructions order the organization of international competitions for adaptive sports, titled `We Are Together. Sport`. The initiative stems from a meeting of the Presidential Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sport held on May 28, 2025.
The document specifies that, with the involvement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, steps must be taken to facilitate the organization and regular hosting of these open international sports events for adaptive disciplines under the framework of international organizations of which Russia is a member. Furthermore, the funding volume and sources for these competitions need to be identified.
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has been designated as the official responsible for overseeing the implementation of this instruction.
