Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted a significant increase in the prestige and demand for blue-collar professions in the labor market. This statement was made in a greeting to participants of a celebratory event marking the 85th anniversary of the secondary vocational education system in the Russian Federation.
The head of state emphasized that the country rightly takes pride in the rich history and traditions of its national vocational education, as well as entire labor dynasties that have made an invaluable contribution to the socio-economic development and strengthening of Russia`s industrial potential.
It was specifically noted that in recent years, the prestige and demand for working professions have been growing. Under the federal project “Professionalitet,” new educational institutions are being actively established and existing ones are being modernized. Their material and technical base is being improved, and modern standards are being introduced for training highly qualified and competitive workers, employees, and mid-level specialists.
The President stressed the importance of ensuring that the secondary vocational education system remains effective and focused on achieving national development goals. Training programs must fully align with the current needs of the real economic sector, which, in turn, will provide young people with broad opportunities to realize their talents, interesting projects, and initiatives.
Vladimir Putin expressed sincere gratitude to teachers, mentors, and masters of industrial training. He underscored that the personal and professional development of their students, as well as the formation of their active civic, patriotic, and life positions, largely depend on their wisdom, patience, and dedication.
In conclusion, the Russian leader wished all participants of the celebratory event success in their work and studies, and all the best.
