When the Robotics and AI (RAI) Institute announces new technology, it’s a development worth noting. This organization was, after all, founded by Marc Raibert, the same visionary who established Boston Dynamics, the firm behind the groundbreaking Atlas robot and the dog-like Spot quadruped. Now, the Massachusetts-based RAI Institute has just revealed Roadrunner, a 15 kg (33 lb) prototype robot that boasts a unique bipedal-wheeled design.
