МОСКВА — Юрий Бармаков, выдающийся разработчик ядерных боеприпасов и Герой Труда, скончался в возрасте 93 лет. О его уходе из жизни сообщил Всероссийский научно-исследовательский институт автоматики имени Н.Л. Духова (ВНИИА), который входит в государственную корпорацию «Росатом».
«На 94-м году жизни скончался первый заместитель научного руководителя института, Герой Труда России, заслуженный деятель науки Российской Федерации, лауреат Ленинской премии и Государственной премии СССР Юрий Николаевич Бармаков», — говорится в сообщении института.
Бармаков был признан одним из крупнейших ученых в области микроэлектроники и систем автоматизированного проектирования. Он внес неоценимый вклад как в создание отечественного ядерного оружия, так и в развитие гражданских секторов экономики через применение оборонных технологий.
Свою профессиональную деятельность в ВНИИА имени Духова Юрий Бармаков начал в 1955 году. Он прошел долгий путь от инженера до директора предприятия, возглавляя его с 1987 по 2008 годы, а затем занимал должность первого заместителя научного руководителя ВНИИА.
За особые заслуги перед государством и народом, Президент Владимир Путин лично вручил ему золотую звезду Героя Труда 12 июня 2022 года в Кремле.

MOSCOW — Yuri Barmakov, a distinguished developer of nuclear munitions and a Hero of Labor, has passed away at the age of 93. His demise was announced by the All-Russian Research Institute of Automatics named after N.L. Dukhov (VNIIA), which is part of the Rosatom state corporation.
“Yuri Nikolaevich Barmakov, the first deputy scientific director of the institute, Hero of Labor of Russia, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, recipient of the Lenin Prize and the USSR State Prize, died in his 94th year of life,” the institute`s statement read.
Barmakov was recognized as one of the foremost scientists in the fields of microelectronics and computer-aided design systems. He made invaluable contributions to both the creation of Russia`s nuclear weapons and the development of civilian economic sectors through the application of defense technologies.
Yuri Barmakov began his professional career at VNIIA named after Dukhov in 1955. He advanced from an engineer to the director of the enterprise, leading it from 1987 to 2008, and subsequently held the position of first deputy scientific director of VNIIA.
For his exceptional services to the state and the people, President Vladimir Putin personally awarded him the Gold Star of the Hero of Labor in the Kremlin on June 12, 2022.
