Renowned film director, television, and radio host Tigran Keosayan has passed away. His wife, Margarita Simonyan, who serves as editor-in-chief of the international media group “Rossiya Segodnya” and the RT channel, confirmed this sad news.
Earlier, in early January, Simonyan had reported that her husband experienced clinical death and was in a coma. His passing marks a significant loss for the Russian media and cultural landscape.
On her Telegram channel, she wrote: “Tonight, Tigran went to the Creator.”
Simonyan also expressed deep gratitude to everyone who prayed for her husband and made a heartfelt request for privacy, asking that she and her family not be contacted by phone during this immensely difficult time. She reiterated her thanks, stating:
“Thank you to everyone who prayed. Please, do not call me or the family now. Thank you all, thank you.”
