An operation to rescue two moose that are unable to leave the Istra reservoir area is scheduled to commence on Thursday. This intervention will proceed only if the animals do not manage to exit the territory on their own, as confirmed by representatives from the Moscow Region Forestry Committee.
Reports regarding the two trapped moose near the Kuibyshev hydraulic unit settlement in Istra initially surfaced on the `112` Telegram channel. The committee`s press service elaborated on the rescue strategy, stating that the primary goal is to avoid causing unnecessary stress or injury to the animals, or resorting to sedative administration.
However, officials stressed that if the moose have not departed the area voluntarily by tomorrow, a forced extraction will be carried out to ensure their safety and well-being.
