Russia`s state corporation Rosatom is reportedly considering the acquisition of a company specializing in advanced IT solutions for the medical sector. This development was initially reported by RBC, citing insights from multiple sources familiar with the matter.
According to these sources, Rosatom is engaged in negotiations to acquire “Netrika Meditsina.” This company is renowned for developing and supplying digital platforms tailored for both governmental and private healthcare institutions. The prospective deal has received confirmation from “Medscan,” a healthcare company that is partially owned by Rosatom.
A representative from Medscan emphasized the pivotal role “Netrika Meditsina” plays within the Unified State Information System in Healthcare (EGISZ) market. The company reportedly controls 53 percent of the operators offering these essential services. The proposed consolidation of these assets aims to forge a comprehensive platform designed to manage a patient`s entire healthcare journey. Currently, Netrika`s extensive ecosystem connects 8,500 clinics, processing over 90,000 documents daily, showcasing its significant operational scale.
“Netrika Meditsina” was established in 2006. In the fiscal year 2024, the company recorded an impressive revenue of 1.1 billion rubles, marking a substantial year-over-year growth of 76.5 percent. Its net profit for the same period reached 407 million rubles, highlighting its strong financial performance.
In related news concerning Rosatom`s broader activities, it was announced in August that Uzbekistan plans to expeditiously construct a large nuclear power plant in the Jizzakh region, a major project that will be executed in collaboration with the Russian state corporation.
