According to data provided by Roskadastr, out of the more than 1250 cities in Russia, a significant number share names. Specifically, at least 67 settlements have identical names, comprising a total of 31 unique duplicated names.

The report indicates that five city names are encountered three times across different regions of the country. These are Alexandrovsk (located in Perm Krai, Murmansk Oblast, and Luhansk People`s Republic), Kirovsk (in Leningrad Oblast, Murmansk Oblast, and Luhansk People`s Republic), Krasnoarmeysk (in Saratov and Moscow Oblasts, and Donetsk People`s Republic), Primorsk (in Leningrad, Kaliningrad, and Zaporozhye Oblasts), and Sovetsk (in Kirov, Kaliningrad, and Tula Oblasts).

Additionally, a considerable number of other cities have their names repeated exactly twice. This list includes: Artyomovsk, Belogorsk, Berezovsky, Blagoveshchensk, Gornyak, Guryevsk, Dzerzhinsk, Donetsk, Zheleznogorsk, Zarechny, Kirov, Krasnoznamensk, Krasnoslobodsk, Mirny, Mikhailovsk, Nikolsk, Ozersk, Pervomaysk, Raduzhny, Svetly, Svobodny, Seversk, Solnechny, Troitsk, Uglegorsk, and Fokino.
