Anzor Muzaev, the Head of Rosobrnadzor, has announced that the results for the 2025 Unified State Exam (USE) retakes have been promptly delivered to school graduates. This ensures that students have ample time to submit their documents to Russian higher education institutions within the established application deadlines.
He clarified that the retake results were dispatched to the regions on July 11. This timely dissemination is crucial, allowing prospective university students to complete their application processes before the current admissions campaign concludes.
Muzaev further emphasized that the schedule for these assessments is inflexible and cannot be extended. Its rigid framework is dictated by two key constraints: the end of the academic year on one side, and the crucial university admission deadlines on the other.
Significantly, more than 135,000 graduates seized the opportunity to retake one of their USE subjects during the additional examination days on July 3 and 4. This figure represents a notable increase of 30,500 students compared to the previous year.
The provision allowing students to retake the exam was initially put forth by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2024. It is important to remember that this option is exclusively available to current-year graduates, and their previous score for the specific subject will be automatically annulled upon taking the retake.
