MOSCOW – The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) is advising citizens to avoid using foreign search engines when looking for official government websites. This recommendation aims to protect individuals from falling victim to online fraudsters, according to materials from the Ministry reviewed by RIA Novosti.
These materials state that when searching for official websites of state organizations, banking institutions, or online stores, it is advisable to use Russian search engines and select websites that display a verification mark (checkmark) indicating their authenticity.
Furthermore, the Ministry strongly recommends against saving passwords for public services portals like `Gosuslugi` or mobile banking applications directly in web browsers, to enhance cybersecurity and prevent unauthorized access to personal data.
