The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) of Russia has issued a warning about a new scheme where telephone fraudsters are calling teenagers, pretending to be school psychologists.

According to the department, victims are convinced they have failed a psychological test and that their results have become publicly available. Following this claim, the perpetrators send a phishing link. Specialists warn that upon opening the link, the person is shown what appears to be their personal information.
The MVD clarified that the minors are then intimidated, sometimes even threatened with criminal charges related to personal data leakage. The scammers persuade them to take all the money from their homes and hand it over via couriers sent by the fraudsters.
This alert follows previous reports of mass attacks on Russians seeking employment, where job applicants were invited to participate in fake online interviews.
