The Russian government has approved an ambitious infrastructure development plan set to run until 2036. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced this decision, highlighting that the program`s goal is to ensure balanced and synchronized development across all regions of the country.
The plan encompasses several key areas:
- Extensive Transport Network Reconstruction: This includes the renovation of approximately 4,500 kilometers of railway tracks and over 2,000 kilometers of automobile roads.
- Modernization of Social Infrastructure: The project involves upgrading 60 airports and significantly improving social facilities.
- Energy Sector Expansion: Ten new power units will be commissioned at five nuclear power plants.
- Strengthening Healthcare and Education: Forty medical organizations and research centers will undergo modernization, alongside the construction of dozens of new university campuses.
Mishustin further emphasized that, in addition to these listed initiatives, many other crucial infrastructure projects are slated for implementation under the program.
