Students who regularly practice music show improved self-esteem, develop emotional resilience, and exhibit greater motivation for learning. Musical activities also help strengthen social connections and foster a sense of belonging to a community.

Researchers consider creating a safe and inspiring atmosphere in music lessons particularly crucial. Such conditions encourage self-expression, build perseverance, and contribute to the formation of a positive attitude towards oneself and others.

The study`s authors call on schools to re-evaluate the place of music in the educational curriculum. In their opinion, music lessons should not be treated as an optional extracurricular activity, but as an essential part of a child`s development, alongside physical education and social programs.

Previously, scientists have demonstrated that music is capable not only of improving mood but also of strengthening memory – to the extent that it is used in therapy for dementia and Alzheimer`s disease.
