SpaceX is preparing to launch a new tariff plan, Starlink Community, which will allow multiple users to jointly use a single satellite dish for internet access. This information, discovered by PCMag on the SpaceX website before its temporary removal, indicates the company`s desire to offer a more affordable solution for a wider range of consumers.
The Starlink Community plan is designed so that several households can share one connection. Although access will be via a single communication channel, each subscriber will receive a separate account. This innovation makes Starlink satellite internet significantly more financially attractive.
The cost of the Starlink Community plan will be just $60 (approximately 4,800 rubles) per month, making it the provider`s cheapest offering. For comparison, the standard Residential plan costs $120 (9,700 rubles), and Residential Lite is $80 (6,400 rubles) per month.
SpaceX positions Starlink Community as an ideal solution for neighbors or multiple adjacent households. According to PCMag experts, this tariff is aimed at individual residences and areas lacking stable wired internet connections, offering them an economical alternative for high-speed access.
