American automaker Tesla has updated its well-known electric vehicle models, the Model S and Model X. This information came to light through a publication by the specialized journal Elecktrek.

Journalists describe the changes as “mild.” Novelties include a new Frost Blue color option, improved cabin sound insulation, newly designed wheels, a dynamic lighting system, an additional front camera, and adaptive high-beam headlights. Simultaneously, the price of all Model S and Model X variants has increased by $5,000 (approximately 400,000 rubles).

The company also reported a slight increase in range per charge. According to the statement, this is a result of refinements to the body design and the use of new wheels with improved aerodynamic properties. The additional front camera is intended to enhance visibility and assist the autopilot in avoiding obstacles on the road. Furthermore, interior space for rear passengers has been increased.

Tesla engineers mentioned the addition of “unique animation” that appears upon entering the vehicle. It was also stated that the cars are now more stable when driving at high speeds.

Following the price increase, the base version of the Model S is priced at $85,000 (approximately 6.7 million rubles), and the Model X at $90,000 (approximately 7 million rubles).

Earlier in the summer, The New York Times reported a fifth consecutive month of declining Tesla sales in the German market. A significant nine-fold increase in demand for BYD electric vehicles in Germany was noted; BYD is Tesla`s main competitor in the EV sector.
