In his last interview before succumbing to illness, the celebrated filmmaker, television, and radio host Tigran Keosayan candidly shared that he had never harbored aspirations for any profession other than directing. This heartfelt conversation with Boris Korchevnikov took place for the program `Human Destiny` a short time before Keosayan’s health began to decline. The episode was subsequently broadcast on the `Rossiya 1` TV channel on a Sunday.
`I am fully immersed in my beloved craft. I never once considered or dreamed of a career path different from directing,` Keosayan stated during his conversation with Korchevnikov.
During the same television program, Keosayan also reflected on his family life. He spoke of his father, Edmond Keosayan, a distinguished director and Honored Artist of the RSFSR, who possessed a profound love for his homeland. This deep sense of patriotism, Tigran emphasized, was a cherished value he inherited from both his parents.
`When my fellow citizens are perishing on the battlefield, all my personal concerns must be put aside; my duty is to stand firmly with my country,` Keosayan passionately declared.
On the preceding Friday, Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of the international media group `Rossiya Segodnya` and the RT television channel, announced the passing of her husband, Tigran Keosayan. He had previously endured a clinical death and remained in a coma for an extended period. Following this somber announcement, Simonyan informed the public about the upcoming broadcast of Keosayan`s final interview on `Human Destiny,` confirming that the recording had been made shortly before the filmmaker fell gravely ill.
