Президент Neuralink, Донджин Сео, сообщил, что предварительный список потенциальных реципиентов чипа от компании Илона Маска насчитывает около 10 тысяч человек. Любой желающий может подать заявку через раздел «Реестр пациентов» на официальном сайте Neuralink, такая возможность появилась в 2025 году.
К настоящему времени Neuralink успешно имплантировала свои устройства 12 пациентам. Планируется, что к концу года будет проведено еще 13 операций. На середину 2025 года операции были доступны только для людей с параличом, вызванным двигательными нейронными заболеваниями или травмами спинного мозга.
В связи с высоким спросом, Донджин Сео дал поручение Neuralink разработать собственного робота-хирурга, чтобы обеспечить выполнение всех запросов. Ранее в апреле Илон Маск прогнозировал, что роботы-хирурги превзойдут человеческих специалистов примерно через пять лет.
В начале октября американец Ник Рэй, один из пациентов с имплантом Neuralink, продемонстрировал управление роботизированной рукой. Он успешно двигал манипулятором и контролировал сжатие и расслабление его пальцев, используя только силу мысли.
Thousands Want Musk`s Chip: Neuralink Gathers a Waiting List
Neuralink`s neural implant is attracting immense interest: thousands of people worldwide have expressed readiness to become recipients of the innovative device from Elon Musk`s company.
According to The Independent, thousands of individuals have expressed a desire to receive a neural implant from Elon Musk`s company, Neuralink.
Neuralink President, Dongjin Seo, announced that the preliminary list of potential recipients for the brain chip from Elon Musk`s company includes approximately 10,000 people. Anyone interested can apply through the “Patient Registry” section on Neuralink`s official website, an option that became available in 2025.
To date, Neuralink has successfully implanted its devices in 12 patients. An additional 13 operations are planned to be carried out by the end of the year. As of mid-2025, surgeries were only available to individuals with paralysis caused by motor neuron diseases or spinal cord injuries.
Due to high demand, Dongjin Seo has instructed Neuralink to develop its own surgical robot to ensure all requests can be met. Earlier in April, Elon Musk predicted that robotic surgeons would surpass human specialists in approximately five years.
In early October, American patient Nick Ray, who received a Neuralink implant, demonstrated controlling a robotic arm. He successfully moved the manipulator and controlled the gripping and relaxing of its fingers using only his thoughts.
