Motional, the Hyundai-backed autonomous vehicle company, has resumed its robotaxi services in Las Vegas, two years after undergoing significant restructuring and pausing its commercial operations. Partnering with Uber, the all-electric Motional vehicles are once again available for ride-hailing on the Strip. Currently, these robotaxis operate with a safety driver onboard, though Motional aims to remove this human oversight and achieve fully driverless operation by the close of 2026.
