In the night of July 31, Telegram users across Russia reported a widespread outage of the messenger service. According to data from the Downdetector service, over 3,600 complaints were registered by 10:53 PM Moscow time.
The majority of reports originated from major cities such as St. Petersburg and Moscow, as well as from the Moscow and Leningrad regions. Problems began around 10:45 PM MSK and included issues with receiving notifications, application and web version functionality, access to personal accounts, and media file uploads.
