Swiss Startup Miros Secures €1.1M Funding for Innovative Workpods
Lausanne-based miros, an innovative startup spun out of EPFL’s prestigious robotics lab, has successfully raised €1.1 million in funding. This significant investment is set to bolster the company's expansion of its bookable workpods, designed to offer private, on-demand workspaces.
To date, miros has strategically deployed 15 of these compact, functional pods across various locations in Switzerland. Demonstrating its international growth ambitions, the company has also made its first foray beyond Swiss borders with the installation of a unit in Toulouse, France.
The long-term vision of miros's founder extends beyond individual pods; the aim is to fundamentally transform commercial real estate itself, making it entirely modular and accessible on-demand. Miros is actively addressing a prevalent challenge observed in high-traffic public areas, such as bustling train stations, airports, and hospitals. These environments frequently lack suitable private spaces for individuals needing to focus, conduct calls, or simply find a moment of quiet away from the commotion.
