The AI landscape is bustling with models, each boasting impressive capabilities. While ChatGPT maintains its lead, Gemini’s strong presence on Android positions it as a close contender. Meanwhile, Anthropic is steadily gaining traction, challenging the dominance of OpenAI and other major players. Following the success of Mythos in cybersecurity, Fable 5 is emerging as a public-facing equivalent, and now, exciting new hidden features and a peculiar instance of the AI exhibiting what some perceive as god-like intelligence are coming to light.
Anthropic has experienced consistent user growth since its inception with Claude years ago, though it never quite matched the popularity of Google or OpenAI. However, its recent performance has made it highly competitive, even surpassing the leading AI models from its rivals. This was evident with the latest version of Opus 4.8, which outperformed GPT-5.5 and Gemini 3.1 Pro. The impact of Mythos on the industry was significant, establishing itself as the most advanced AI for cybersecurity, although its preview version was restricted to a select few companies.
Anthropic Claude Fable 5’s Source Code Analysis Reveals Upcoming Hidden Features
Anthropic recently announced both Claude Mythos 5 and Claude Fable 5, officially launching the highly anticipated AI model for cybersecurity. For general consumers, Fable 5 is of greater interest as it’s accessible for public use, unlike Mythos, which is reserved for major corporations and specific applications. Those who have experimented with Fable 5 likely recognize its superiority over other AIs, proving more effective than Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or GitHub Copilot. A recent analysis of the source code within the Claude iOS app has unveiled upcoming hidden features for Fable 5. The first of these is the ability to automatically redirect requests to other models.
The current Fable 5 version is limited to redirecting requests to the Opus 4.8 model. However, this newly discovered, inactive option within the iOS app indicates that users will soon be able to switch requests to different models. This will provide a more seamless and flexible AI experience, free from the current interruptions and limitations. Another upcoming feature will allow users to select different AI models when activating voice mode. This means you’ll be able to utilize Claude Opus, Sonnet, Haiku, or Fable 5 with synthesis and voice calls, a significant upgrade from the current version, which is limited to Haiku 4.5.
Fable 5 Perceived as God-like in Response to a Simple Query
The third and final discovered feature is the integration of Claude Code with Managed Agents. This will enable users to directly select cloud agents within Claude Code to assign them tasks. These are the anticipated updates for Fable 5. However, the story doesn’t end there. A peculiar post on X highlighted an instance where Fable 5 responded to a simple question with such an elevated tone that it was perceived as “practically like a God.”
The veracity of this claim remains uncertain. Doubts have been raised, with a subsequent post suggesting that the entire interaction was orchestrated using Claude. Another image depicts a request where the user instructed the AI to respond with a specific answer if asked a particular question, which would explain the seemingly self-aggrandizing response.
