ASUS has unveiled its latest high-end productivity laptop, the Zenbook DUO (UX8407). Designed for enhanced workflow, it boasts a dual-screen setup and a detachable wireless keyboard, which can be placed on one of the screens for a more traditional laptop experience.
Beyond its dual-display configuration, the Zenbook DUO is powered by a robust processor from the new Intel Panther Lake family. The chassis is constructed from ASUS’s innovative Ceraluminum material, which combines the lightness of aluminum with the hardness and scratch resistance of ceramic. ASUS achieves this through a plasma ceramization process, immersing aluminum in pure water and minerals under high voltage. This process creates a ceramic layer on the aluminum surface, resulting in a device that is both slim and light, yet significantly more resistant to impacts, scratches, and daily wear.
The 2026 ASUS Zenbook DUO (UX8407) features dual 14-inch OLED touch displays. These screens offer a WQXGA+ resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels (16:10 aspect ratio) with a 144 Hz refresh rate. They can reach a brightness of up to 500 nits in SDR and an impressive 1,000 nits in HDR. Under the hood, it is equipped with a powerful Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor featuring 16 cores that clock up to 5.10 GHz, integrated Intel Arc 140T graphics, and an NPU with 50 TOPS of performance. It comes configured with 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offers storage options from 1 TB to 2 TB of NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Connectivity is comprehensive, including 2x Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, and a dedicated HDMI 2.1 video output. It also features a headphone jack, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a substantial 99 Wh battery. All of this is housed in a chassis measuring 310 x 208 mm, with a thickness ranging from 19.6 to 23.4 mm at its thickest point, weighing in at 1.65 kilograms. Thanks to the USB4 port, it can support up to 240W of power delivery for charging. The laptop ships with a 100W USB-C charger.
The ASUS Zenbook DUO (UX8407) includes an HD infrared webcam compatible with Windows Hello. The accompanying keyboard features a precision touchpad, and the keys require 1.7 mm of travel for actuation.
The ASUS Zenbook DUO (UX8407) boasts an impressive six-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support. The hinges connecting the two screens are built for durability, certified for over 40,000 open and close cycles. The upper OLED panel can withstand 5 kg of direct pressure without damage, while the lower panel can handle 15 kg. The detachable keyboard is rated for 1 million keystrokes, the magnetic pogo connector for 1 million retraction cycles, and the rear kickstand supports over 40,000 open/close cycles and up to 15 kg of weight.
For cooling, it utilizes an aluminum fan with 97 blades acting as active heatsinks. Large air intake vents and a 24% increase in air extraction capacity compared to its predecessor ensure efficient thermal management. Battery life is rated at up to 18 hours for video playback across both screens and up to 12 hours for web browsing. When using only one screen, it offers an exceptional up to 32 hours of battery life for video playback and up to 18 hours for web browsing. The battery can be charged from 0 to 60% in just 49 minutes.
The ASUS Zenbook DUO (UX8407) comes pre-installed with Windows 11 and Copilot+ for AI features. In Spain, it is available starting at €3,499 with a 2 TB SSD. The package also includes a stylus and a sleeve. Shipments are scheduled to begin on May 1, 2026.
