While major tech events like Computex in Taiwan, CES in Las Vegas, and MWC in Barcelona are well-known among hardware enthusiasts, they are not the only significant gatherings. China, for instance, hosts its own technology fairs. One such event, the Southwest International Model Expo & Gaming 2026, took place on April 12th. At this exhibition, the renowned brand ZOTAC showcased its custom PC MODs.
Technology expos are platforms where leading hardware brands unveil their latest innovations. These events are often used to launch new products and technologies, making them highly anticipated. Both Computex and CES feature announcements from NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD regarding their new graphics cards and processors, which are typically the most awaited reveals. Numerous other brands also present their latest cases, motherboards, power supplies, peripherals like mice, keyboards, and monitors, and much more.
ZOTAC Showcases PC MODs at the Southwest International Model Expo & Gaming 2026

Though the Southwest International Model Expo & Gaming 2026 might be less familiar, it spanned two days at the Kunming Wuhua Cultural and Art Center. The expo featured everything from modified car displays at the entrance to custom-built computers. A notable participant was ZOTAC, the event’s featured partner, who took the opportunity to exhibit its personalized PC MODs. These are computers designed by a community of experts, boasting diverse aesthetics and incorporating purchasable components, including ZOTAC’s RTX 50 series graphics cards.
The first of these custom PCs, a collaboration between ZOTAC and 衵曰文Studio, prominently features an anime aesthetic on the front panel, with logos and text adorning the rest of the chassis, including ZOTAC branding on the top and bottom. Built on a Lian Li 011D EVO case, it houses a ZOTAC RTX 5080 Apocalypse OC graphics card with a central RGB fan.

This case offers a clear view of the internal components and features a unique addition of colorful pixelated cats at its base. Following this, ZOTAC presented a PC Mod with a more cyberpunk and urban aesthetic, characterized by black and green accents. This build features an RTX 5070 12 GB XGAMING OC Black graphics card and is housed in a Geometric Future Model 5 chassis.
The fourth and final ZOTAC PC MOD is housed in a chassis with unmentioned specifications, but it features rounded edges, a white base, and a full-view window revealing an RTX 5060 Ti inside. This particular build was used for gaming the title Lament: Ten Days of City Fall. ZOTAC also sponsored a competition among university student groups, awarding the winning team with an RTX 5060 Ti Star OC graphics card.
